AIB Portrait Prize 2024

A very small portrait of a woman, painted on a small brass plate using warm tone colours including burnt sienna, indian red and cadmium yellow. The woman depicted is light on her right side with lamp light. The painting was painted by Robert Jackson. There is the tip of a sharpened pencil in the photograph to help determine scale of the painting.

‘Beth in low light’ (2x1cm) has been shortlisted for the AIB Portrait Prize 2024 at the National Gallery of Ireland. It will be on shown at the gallery alongside 25 other shortlisted works between 9th November 2024 and 9th March 2025.
